Blepharoplasty
An Aesthetic Solution for Young and Vivid Eyes
Blepharoplasty is an aesthetic surgical procedure, also known as "droopy eyelid" in Turkish. In this procedure, it is aimed to
correct an old and tired appearance caused by sagging or loosening of the eyelids and to obtain a younger and more vibrant eye area.
Eyelid drooping may occur due to the aging process, decreased skin elasticity, genetic factors and fat accumulation in the eyelids.
This can cause sagging and wrinkles to form in the skin around the eyes and make the eyes look tired or old.
Blepharoplasty is usually performed to correct sagging of the upper and/or lower eyelids. In this procedure, excess skin,
fat and muscle tissue is removed and the eyelids are tightened. Thus, the eyelids gain a younger, lively and aesthetic appearance.
Blepharoplasty is usually performed under local anesthesia and is performed by a specialist plastic surgeon.
The duration of the procedure may vary depending on the amount of procedure to be applied and the needs of the patient.
After blepharoplasty, the recovery process of patients is usually fast. Swelling and bruising may occur around the eyes,
but this usually subsides within a few weeks. After the procedure, patients gain a younger, more dynamic and lively eye area.
